Tinsley Hutson-Wiley is a San Francisco-based interior designer
who credits her Southern background and a plethora of artists
in her family as a major influence on her design style and
appreciation for art. She believes the sentimental and the
serendipitous belong side-by-side in a home. Tinsley has lived and
worked in the District of Columbia, New York, London, and
Johannesburg. Her passions for travel, art, and architecture have
contributed to her unique style that respects tradition and
embraces the new. She incorporates sustainable materials into
each of her design projects and is recognized as a certified green
building and ASID professional.
Tinsley has an undergraduate degree in systems engineering and
environmental science from the University of Virginia and
continued her education in interior design and architecture at
the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her strong
knowledge of CAD and illustration software is balanced with
her love of painting and sketching, which she uses to help clients
visualize design concepts. Tinsley also worked for notable firm,
Kendall Wilkinson Design, before founding her own interior
design firm in 2007.
